This is real tough to say, knowing what is yet to come and getting tired of this winter. That in 60 days from tonight, the Murray County Speedway will be opening their 2019 season.
From what it sounds like, many of the race cars are ready to go, but with several of the early season specials, already canceled, are just sitting in the shop. So, let's see these new designs of the cars, upload some pictures to this post. Hopefully, they can tie, us benchwarmers, over for the next two months.
Their are several special events that are being planned for this season. The Speedway will be hosting three nights of the IMCA 305 Racesaver Sprint Cars on June 14th, July 5th and August 2nd. The 3rd Annual Swede Anderson Modified Special will be July 19th. A new special race is being planned for the Friday night of the Fair (August 16th), to honor the memory of Gary Muecke. Hall of Fame night will be on July 19th, honoring two special drivers, that brought much excitement to the Speedway in the 1990's and early 2000's.
