We realize the severe heat index isn't until tomorrow, but it's hot out now. We decided to start a half hour later tonight. We take the health of everyone at the track seriously. We have some exciting news for the Adam "Red" Jan's Memorial Race presented by Van't Hof Milk Hauling for this Friday August 7th! The Jans family has put extra money up for this event. They put up and extra $100 to the winner of the Hobby Class. It is now $1250 to win, draw/redraw no entry fee. A total of $1515 has been added to the weekly Hobby Stock payout! This Friday, August 21st is the Swede Shootout/Gary Muecke Memorial Modified Special! These two great men are in the track Hall of Fame. What a perfect night to have Hall of Fame night. The Mods will pay $1500 to win and $150 to start. It will be draw/redraw. No entry fee, you just pay the $30 pit pass. They will get State, Regional and National points, no track points. Order of Events and Number of Laps to be run for heats and features. B Features maybe run, depending on the number of cars in each class. 10 laps for B Features. If you have the MyRacePass app on your phone, please refresh it before you get in your car for heat races, as there maybe changes, if we have a number of late cars arriving. Draw cut-off is at 4pm and driver must be there to draw.

The Murray County Speedway's "Slaytona 125's Spring race has been canceled. With all the rain we have gotten this past week and the frost still coming out, we are not sure with how the track will take shape. We just don't want to see cars being tore up, this early in the season. We will be concentrating on season opener on May 14th. There will be a test-n-tune planned before the first race. A notice will be posted and all cars are welcomed to attend.

NOTE TIME CHANGE Workers Meeting Saturday April 24th at 4PM The Speedway will have a workers meeting for everyone that will be helping at the track on Friday nights. This includes, Concessions, Ticket Sellers, Infield Workers, Wrecker Drivers, Crow's Nest, Video and Grandstand Workers. A few notes for this Friday's Practice Night. Back gate will open at 6pm, with practice starting at 7pm and going to 10pm. Entry fee is $50, which covers the car, driver and their pit crew (no other charges). Everyone will have to sign in for insurance (minors included). All cars are welcomed including the 305 sprint cars, limited late models and cars from other sanctioning bodies are welcomed to practice.
