We are sad to announce that we are canceling the races for tonight. We have gotten a good 3 inches of rain this week. We are extremely happy for the farmers who needed the rain, it just doesn't work for the track. As you can see there is standing water in the pits and on the gravel. We don't cancel easily, but we don't want to tear up your equipment, our equipment and the fairgrounds. We look forward to seeing everyone next week for Mom, Boss, Hustle night. Join us this Friday night for Modified Mania Night. We will be making up the Mod and Sport Mod features from May 14th as well as our weekly races. So, double features for the two Modified classes, sorry no buy ins for the first features. It is Mom, Boss, Hustle Night. They are a Facebook based business from right here in Slayton. They customize pretty much anything you can think of, shirts, hoodies, tumblers, cups, blankets, key chains, plus many other items. They do our kids club weekly...more

The Murray County Speedway will not be racing on July 9th as the Murray County Draft Horse Show will be taking over the fairgrounds July 9th-11th. The Speedway will be back in action on July 16th as we will induct a new driver into our Hall of Fame and will hold the Swede Anderson/Gary Muecke Memorial Modified Race.

With rain all Friday morning, the speedway has decided to cancel the races for tonight, so everyone has a chance to decide where else to race. See everyone next week

You don't want to miss this special night!!! The Jerry "Mahoney" Gronewold Hobby Special is taking great shape, with a terrific number of hobby stock cars showing interest in this event. Jerry was a tremendous driver for many years at the speedway, so we are very pleased to host this event this year. Most people in surrounding area knew Mahoney as the driver of the 58 racecar.
