Racing action returned to the Murray County Speedway on a cloudy and windy Friday evening. Racing action featured all of the usual classes and the races were sponsored by Avoca Spray & Rowdy's Repair of Slayton. Swede Anderson Has devoted his life to fixing cars and building race cars! He started building go-karts with whatever spare pieces and parts he could get his hands on back when he was just a kid in the 50s. The second part of the announcement for Friday night July 14th, in honor of our Hall of Fame Class, will be the Swede Anderson Shoot-Out for the RH Sealcoating Modifieds. It was a very special night of races this past week as The Dominick Bruns Memorial race made its appearance at the Murray County Speedway. The Dominick Bruns Memorial race was set up in honor of young Dominick Bruns, who was taken for us very early in his life due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. After that, mother Becky Bruns and other family members set up the Dominick Bruns Memorial fund.
