The Murray County Speedway is pleased to release the 2018 payout for the new season. Promoter/President Aaron Betz commented "We are an association that works hard for the fans and drivers, so why not pay the drivers better throughout the WHOLE field while keeping the pit and grandstand fees the same." With the weather we have had, the snow and cooler temps that are forecasted and the amount of snow we still have at the fairgrounds, we are sad to announce that we have to cancel the May 5th enduro and test n tune. We will keep you posted as we might reschedule the enduro for late June or early July.

The workers and membership meeting for Sunday April 15th is canceled. We are going to try one more time to have it. We are going to have the meeting next Friday April 20th, the worker meeting will be at 7 and the general meeting will be at 8. They will be held at the Masonic Lodge on the south end of main street in Slayton. It will be a good time to get your memberships, pit spots and registrations filled out before the first night.

Posting some photos to show how much snow we are dealing with at the track and fairgrounds. We will keep everyone posted as the snow melts, hopefully, and start to get work done at the track.

New for the drivers this season at the Murray County Speedway, will be the sign-in procedure at the back gate, using either the MyRacePass electronic barcode card or the MyRacePass App on the drivers cellphone. As opening night is a few days closer, the track went though it's first complete setup on Saturday, wow, the guys did a terrific job in making it look in great shape. Now only to get a few more days for the pit areas to dry. The MCRA Pickup class is looking to add a few new pickups this year. The Gertsema (G) Family Racing team has been working hard to get everything ready for this Friday night's racing. Jim, Craig and TJ did a terrific paint job on their pickups.
